Other sellers/builders of traffic light controllers do offer a lot of different "flavors", pretty cool. Check 'em out on eBay. Q & A What is that big "square component" ? The "square component" is a transformer. It serves two functions, it converts AC line voltage to a lower voltage (step down), for low voltage circuits.
