are two butter pats made in England by the New Wharf Pottery in the late 1800's. The pattern name is Portsmouth, and they are semi-porcelain. All of this is printed on the back along with their mark which is a rope tied in a knot with a crown over it. They are green with a sort of scroll design and gold trim around the edge. They are quite lovely. 3 in diameter. Very good condition, no chips or cracks or discoloration. I have more pieces in this pattern that I will be selling shortly.
