The Tres Riches Heures of Jean, Duke of Berry with 139 Gorgeous Color Plates and Slipcase! is an absolutely stunning book that will surely occupy a place of honor on your library bookshelf! The Tres Riches Heures of Jean, Duke of Berry is a monumental reproduction of the illuminated manuscript residing in the Musee Condo, Chantilly, France. T are 139 breathtaking full-color plates along with a scholarly introduction and commentary by Jean Longnon. The book itself is gilt-decorated red cloth, as shown in my top photo, but please be aware that my photo does not do justice to the actual deep royal red of the original. It comes with its own highly decorated slipcase, shown front and back in my next two photos. It was published back in 1969 by George Braziller. Condition is excellent. The book itself appears to me to be unread. It is still tight, clean, and virtually like new except for some slight fading on the spine. The slipcase has a bit of soiling, but it is solid and retains much of its visual appeal. Please add 4.00 for media mail shipping in the US.
