Samurai, Villain and a Beauty Tonight's Beautiful Estate Collection of Japanese Wood Block Prints on Clearance! This evening we are excited to offer a fantastic collection of Japanese wood block print triptychs from an old Japanese estate. We purchased this lovely group of triptychs directly from a Japanese estate and are offering them this evening in our Ebay auctions. These are exceptional triptychs and would not normally be offered in the triptych clearance. Dealers regularly sell these triptychs in the $350-$ 500 range. However, after the terrific response we got to our triptych clearance, we've decided to offer these pieces at a $125 opening bid price. While preparing these prints for sale, I noticed the excellent, interesting subjects, and prints in good condition with fine color and detail. They are really a terrific group. Great for display or for the serious collector, these triptychs are an excellent find. Once again, Fuji Arts offers the best value in Japanese woodblock prints. Check out these amazing pieces, t are certainly bargains to be had! Comments- An incredible 19th century original Edo era triptych by Toyokuni III depicting three characters in the scene from a tale. The portraits are beautifully done, representing Toyokuni III's best work. The figure of the villain in the center, his arms and chest tattooed, is incredible. The samurai portrait on the right, wearing a kimono decorated with the huge rooster is also fantastic. The three are shown on the plum blossoms at nighttime. The white blossoms going in the moonlight. An excellent scene. Artist- Toyokuni III/Kunisada Condition- Beautiful original color and very fine detail, as shown. Three separate panels, not attached at the seams, not backed. No holes, tears, or repairs to report. Some slight discoloration at the vertical edges of the panels can be seen, not very noticeable (see photo). Nice overall and a knockout piece for display. Size- 27 3/4" x 14" (not measured individually) This Japanese Estate Group of Original Triptychs- This evening at Fuji Arts we are excited to offer a fantastic Japanese estate collection of original 19th century wood block print triptychs by noted 19th century masters.
