A Trix LNER A2 4-6-2 locomotive in LNER Apple Green livery with unshaded Gil Sans yellow lettering and black & white lining as number 525 A. H. PEPPERCORN. The Trix loco, which is in nice condition with a chassis that runs well with pick-up from from all wheels on the tender. The tender itself is not a Trix one but a correct version Hornby non corridor tender finished in matching livery and fitted with scale Jackson tender wheels with electrical pick-up on all 8 wheels. A nice low cost A2 loco that would grace any LNER / early BR layout . N.B. An amendment: Since listing this loco I took the opportunity to clear up my work room and lo and behold I found a genuine Trix tender chassis I had bought some time ago to replace the re-wheeled Hornby one on the loco, so I have now replaced the Hornby tender chassis (still keeping the same correct Hornby body) with the superior Trix chassis with its better pick ups and Trix wheels. It is still using the same existing loco / tender connection with its micro plug & socket.
