Up for auction are two beautiful North Carolina pottery cobalt blue pie plates. Although they are slightly different, they are probably close enough to call them a pair. They are unsigned, but carry the stilt and sanding identifying marks of J B Cole Pottery in Seagrove, NC. They are both approx. 9.5" in diameter. They are beautifully made, thinly potted, and the best part is that both are perfect! The fluted rims on these pie plates are so prone to damage, it is unusual to find a pair like this in perfect condition. My guess is that they date to the 1960's or 1970's. They say - one is an object, two make a collection. Starting the bidding at less than $10 each. Winning bidder to pay $10.00 for carefully packaged priority shipping in the US.
