This item and many of the other items I have listed come from an archive of Studebaker Family personal and business documents, photos etc. acquired by my mother from her father in 1969. She has done extensive research into these items (although, please bear in mind she is not a professional historian) and any and all information provided about these items is done in good faith. These items relate in some way to the Studebaker family and their various business dealings and include personal and business correspondence, personal photos and other documents both personal and relating to the Studebaker company among other items. This lot includes: Typed letteron State of Ohio executive letterhead, signed by assassinated President WilliamMcKinley when he was Governor of Ohio. Letter is dated November 11, 1893, thanking Mr. Studebaker for his congratulations and best wishes when McKinley won his 2 nd term as Governor. Single folded letter measures 5 ½” x 8 ¾” (inside is blank). Envelope with stamp, postmarked Columbus, Ohio, November 13, 1893, measures 3 ½” x 6”. Letter is in very good condition. McKinley’s signature is crisp & bright. Envelope has some damage to upper left corner.
