If you like rare hooks and harnesses, here's a pair for you. Bet you've never seen any before. While similar functionally to the ubiquitous "Herter's Hook Harness," these are DIFFERENT. They are not Herter's. While there may be more out there, these are the only ones I've ever seen! Interesting integration of a clip design as part of a continuous spring wire forming the lure body. The small, narrow, clear plastic diving lip causes the bait to wiggle as it is retrieved. Exact vintage is unknown. I've not seen a patent on it. Get this pair in 2 different sizes and you'll have something worthwhile for your harness collection. In the closeup image I unclipped one of the bait pins - you would open manually, skewer the bait and snap it closed to fix the bait in place. This EXACT pair is illustrated on page 238 of the landmark hook book "Patented Hooks, Harnesses & Bait-Holders - Identification and Value Guide with Collections" by Jeff Kieny. An embossed certificate of provenance/authenticity will be provided confirming these are the exact items pictured in the book and that it comes directly from the Kieny collection. Possessing previously published artifacts with a known provenance can add interest and value.
