p for aucti on is a very nice and unique (4) jaw wood hat stretcher with a nice dark patina. This stretcher is adjusted by turning each of the (4) wood adjusters until the desired size is obtained. * Pictures 1 & 2 show the sizer in the maximum closed position and pictures 3 & 4 show it in the maximum open position. The center spindle is made from metal and the wood adjusters have metal threaded inserts. Adjustment is made by turning each adjuster in or out until the desired size is obtained. The jaws are retained with springs. One of the wood adjusters has a hairline crack that is shown in piccture #5. Dimensions: Maximum open position: 8" x 7 3/8" Minimum closed position: 6 3/4" x 5 7/8" Jaw height: 1 1/4" A very unique working hat sizing tool
