Tige" Anderson joined the army as Colonel of the 11th Georgia and served as an acting brigadier in Longstreet's Corps throughout most of 1862 before receiving his star in November. He was severely wounded at Gettysburg in the Wheatfield near the Rose farm but joined in the Corps movement westward where he fought at Chickamauga and Knoxville before returning to Virginia in time to meet Grant in the Wilderness. He surrendered the survivors of his brigade at Appomattox. Condition: Albumen near EXC.
