Similar design, but a different colourway to a silk l was listing earlier ( now finished). This panel is another lovely Silk from a vintage unused Kimono Roll so no seam lines! A smooth Silk with a good drape & hand. Gorgeous colours & unusual design, the background is a warm Golden Ochre & the design is in irregular 'printing block' like forms with varying design, some very Indian style like Sari borders & Paisley prints, some with a more 'william morris' look & other with Egyptian Hieroglyphics - fascinating mix. All in shades of Brown through Golden Saffron with touches of that Blue/Green so popular in the 30's, though l think this is more likely 1950's or a litle later. The condition is good too. The panel is 14ins wide x 55 ins long . Lovely fun panel. Most of my fabrics are sourced from Japan for my own handicraft projects & l sell my excess, so if you see one you like, please bid - it may be the only piece like it l ever list! I do not pretend to be an expert, l am an enthusiast with a love of fabric and want my customers to be happy with their purchase - l would never deliberately mislead. I describe to the best of my ability & am quite 'picky' about pointing out even minor flaws so no nasty surprises. All my fabrics are Vintage and many are taken from Vintage Kimono's no longer usable so recycled for their wonderful fabric. read more
