Here is a very unusual glass object by the acclaimed Professor Jan Cerny. It looks like a candle holder and I'm sure that it could be used for that but in the Czech Glass reviews that I have seen (see attached image from 1978 CGR) it is shown holding a flower, so I'll call it a vase! It stands 10" tall and weighs 1269 grammes. It has that typical Jan Cerny style where it looks like it has been carved out of glass and there is a "corroso" type finish to it. It is signed Professor Jan Cerny to the back and also has an "Art Czechoslovakia" label which was reserved for higher quality pieces. It's in excellent condition with no damage.
