We found this and some other antique coinmachine locks in an unpaid storage locker. The remaining are listed on separate auctions. We know very little about any of them other than what we can observe. We think this is for the back door of a Mills slot machine. The lock works well and when the key is inserted, this allows the cylinder to turn and let the shaft rise or fall. Again, we are pretty sure this is for the back door as we have observed some others on eBay identical to it although perhaps not in as nice shape as this one is. We don't know if current laws apply to antique parts but if so, we can’t sell to residents in the states of Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Tennessee. On the popular reality TV show they claim to auction off units without looking at the contents first.
