Hello Everyone, I am sorry I had to be away for awhile as my new reel project together with Doug Hannon, Wave Cast Reel is creating an unexpected amount of publicity. It is amazing how all those fishing authorities who kept saying this reel would never work, without even trying, are shutting up very quick. Now let's get back to the auction item... Note : These are true Prototype reels, so no more will be made! Patented Ideas on this reel would not be available in market for at least 2 years! 's a chance for you to own one at sampling stage! The special feature on this reel is something many top fishermen would simply not fish without! First, t are couple of questions from buyers I want to answer on this reel. For real life fishing, the best way to spool this special reel is to initially spool in EVEN LINELAY POSITION. And as you fish, you can adjust to either Longcast shape or ABS shape. Believe it or not, 1 decent cast is enough to form different spool shapes to get the benefits of each shape. You can compare this easily to other preformed spools using caliper along the spool body diameter. And the line capacity of this reel is 8Lb - 220 yds, 10Lb - 160 yds, 14 Lb - 120 yds of line. This brand new reel is a Prototype sample reel , made by Phoenix Blaze early this year, who is licensing their patented idea in this reel to big reel companies. This reel never went into big production but couple of hundred samples lot was made for field testing and evaluation. And this definitely was made for advanced anglers, though beginners might appreciate its cool look and trouble free operation. Full Aluminum Spare Spool. Compression Spring Bail Assembly” It is real smooth and looks terrific and has curved rotor arm shape that all the new reels have in latest catalogs. Knob is superb and feels much more solid and muscular than tiny effeminate wooden knobs you see everyw(A note of caution on wooden knobs is that while look is classy, it is often slippery and on cheaper reels, wood will deteriorate because it is not properly water proofed) But is the special feature of the reel. This patented reel can actually give you any spool shape that you want! From Longcast Spool, to perfectly even linelay and to Daiwa ABS type of Spool shape! All this can be done by simply moving the locking screw on the bail arm up and down! Simple, but a powerfully ingenious idea. You know, all 3 shapes of spool existed in the market for ages and everyone claims their spool shape is the best. This reel ends that argument!
