A fascinating collection of WWII items belong to a named US soldier! This leattte folder, the with Army insignia embossed on top, was used like a personal organizer for this solder - See the photos for the variety of items he kept in In addition to the folder you will see:Soldier's name: Herman Dietrick Muess. It appears that he was an MP.1. Induction papers - dated July 3, 1941 2. 6 blank V-mail letters3. 1 received V-mail letter4. Personal letter addressed to him, Aug 19455. notice from the Social Security Board6. blank piece of writing paper7. Fountain pen8. Magazine called "Smoke Signals- A Guide to Smoking Pleasure"9. Original photographs and negatives. Clearly he is in some either alone or with other soldiers10. Photo of what may be his children. Another of a casket and on the back it says "Mother's casket + flowers"11. Two card-sized calendars - one for 1943 and one for 194412. Newspaper clipping dated Aug 18, 1945. Day of the atom bomb drop?13. Small address book. A few addresses enteredVery nice collection for the reenactor or collector. The V-mail alone is worth the purchase of this.
