Up for Auction a metal Wild West Mechanical bank, made by VACUMET - in the rarer (in my experience) brown & orange paint scheme. This bank operates by pulling back on the stop spring on top of the gun, place a penny/coin there, squeeze the trigger and the coin is catapulted at the awaiting man....when the coin hits his hat, the hat disappears and the man's arm come up so as to surrender. Works perfectly. Typical paint wear to brown base for a 1960s era toy that has been played with. The orange and silver (windows) paint is in very good condition. Chrome/Gold plating on gun and cowboy is also in pretty good shape! See pics for condition details. NOTE: THE BOTTOM HATCH (for removing the coins) IS ALSO THERE! THIS AUCTION INCLUDES: 1) A KEY I HAD MADE - COPIED FROM AN ORIGINAL - THAT OPENS THE HATCH JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL KEY!2) A SCANNED PDF COPY OF THE ORIGINAL COLOR BROCHURE THAT CAME WITH THESE COIN BANKS WHEN GIVEN AWAY BY BANKS - IT'S A REALLY COOL BONUS THAT YOU'LL LOVE TO HAVE. (note: the picture of the brochure I've posted with this auction - is a picture taken from my PC screen and doesn't do it justice). Definitely a nice vintage bank with bonus items that you rarely see . At the gentle insistence of my lovely wife - I'm thinning out my collection a bit by selling off some duplicates.
