IT IS A SAINT PETER RELIQUARY IN A FAUX MARBLE STATUE DISTRIBUTED DURING POPE PIUS XII TENURE IT IS APPROX 5" TALL AND WOULD BE GREAT FOR ANY DISPLAY, COLLECTION OR GIFT.Rear carved out to hold yellow plastic insert with papal seal with glass insert to allow viewing of religious materials (earth or ash possibly) which are enclosed.Saint Peter reliquary statue issued for the 1950 Vatican jubilee by The Venerable Pope Pius XII ( Latin : Pius PP. XII ; Italian : Pio XII ), born Eugenio Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli (2 March 1876 - 9 October 1958), reigned as the 260th Pope , head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City State, from 2 March 1939 until his death in 1958. Religious reliquary statue depicting a seated St. Peter similar to the bronze statue of Saint Peter, attributed to Arnolfo di Cambio with the exception of hand positions and crown. This reliquary statuette issued to commemorate the ceremonial festivities uniformly maintained every twenty five years (with minor exception) from 1450 until the twentieth century.THE STATUE IS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT WE DO NOT SEE ANY CHIPS CRACKS OR REPAIRS.
