This is a 10:1 vernier drive made by Walbert Mfg. Co. This vintage unit is made to panel mount and it accepts a ¼ inch diameter shaft secured with a set screw. The knurled Bakelite knob turns five times while the pointer rotates 180 degrees around the calibrated dial. The knob is 2 ¼" diameter and the dial skirt is 3 ¼" diameter. T is no visible damage to this unit and it turns freely and smoothly for its full range. This makes a nice vintage style tuning knob for a crystal set or for that "vintage" homebrew radio receiver.
