This is very old Japanes Imari plate or tray with a bird in a garden. The plate measures approximately 8 1/2" x 7" and is very jeavy. It appears to have a very old repair to one of the corners and some lacquer. I believe the plate is from the early 1800s but it could seriously be much older than that. I have had a lot of older Imari over the years and this piece appears to be much older than the late 1800s pieces I have had. I bought it at an Ohio estate sale full of old items. is your chance to add a wonderful vintage print to your collection!
