Wow oh wow....this is a beaut. The reserve is very low. The Buy It Now will get you a hand tailored, hand made, hand sewn and hand embroidered tapestry that tells a tale like none I have ever seen. T is an immense amount of design work in this article......... This Kimono is old...and hand made...every inch. The material is all silk I believe. Please look closely at the pics...t are at least twenty different 'people' shown on this exquisitely embroidered pice...and tons of butterflies (at least a dozen different ones), so many different types of flowers I can't keep them straight, bridges over styreams, etc, tons of bamboo trees, regular trees, plants, designs...I tell ya, this is a work of art. I was told it was fromt he 1800s but I can not verify that. It is in remarkable condition, although it is somewhat soiled or dirty and would need a professional cleaning.....T are no rips, tears, etc that I can see....although t is one spot on the sleeves w a piece of thread appears to be loose...almost as if they stopped at that very spot with the designs....like the piece is unfinished....come to think of it...it is unfinished. That is exactly what that thread is. If you look at the other sleeve, the designs are different, but the same .... the one side with the thread is definitely not completed.T are at least two different types of stitches. read more
