******** amazing VERY RARE antique ANCHOR POTTERY bone dish ******** crisp deep + soft green transfer of flowers (daisies?) + tendrils,fluting all around, perfect marking identifying age ******************** this is just a beautiful, beautiful early 1900s (circa 1908) example of the work of the anchor pottery factory in trenton, NJ. the marking (see foto) is clear. unfortunately the fotos are a bit overexposed, but the painting and detailing on this is very bright + pretty...lots of leaves! size : 6 3/8" tall 3 1/8" wide condition : no repairs,no chips,no crazing! defects? : some VERY negligible transfer wear (visible?) in one area,stray light smudge under glaze, glaze pop on bottom ************** PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM LISTING A NUMBER OF TRANSFERWARE BONE DISHES + BUTTER PATS IF YOU BUY MORE THAN ONE, I WILL SHIP ALL FOR FREE :) **************** ABOUT MY SALES : anything i list will be coming from my personal collection, which i must now downsize due to an anticipated move to a smaller home. all items have either been safely stored behind glass or in a sideboard. i am not selling to make a 'profit', merely to eliminate items that are rarely/never used + help with my childrens' college costs.
