NICE WEAVE AND PATINA ---- LOW RESERVE! Excellent weave on this old Papago ( Tohono O'odham )lidded basket. Nice three color design. Woven of Yucca it looks to be a fairly early version of a yucca basket dating to approx. 1940. It measures approx. 6 1/6 inches in diameter and stands approx. 4 1/2 inches tall to the top of it's almost unique knobbed lid. A few spots with stitches missing on the rim odf the lid otherwise in EXCELLENT condition. loVE THE COLORS AND PATINA. sOME OF THE PHOTOS LOOK WASHED OUT , THAT WAS POOR LIGHTING SO JUDGE IT BY THE MORE COLORFUL PHOTOS.
