This is a beautiful VICTORIAN ANTIQUE MAHOGANY TEA CADDY In my estimation it dates from around the mid 19th Century, circa 1840-1850, but please make up your own mind about this. The caddy measures approx 12 inches (300mm) long, by 6 inches (150mm) deep, by 6 1/4 inches (160mm) tall, and is made from solid mahogany. Inside, the caddy has two lidded compartments, and there is a central well for a mixing bowl. There is a crack in the veneer on the rear panel, and a small chip on the front left corner of the lid, (see photos), but other than this it is in very good original condition with no damage, repairs, or woodworm. This is a fine example of its type and it would make a great addition to any collection.
