AUTHENTIC VICTORIAN FIGURAL SILVERPLATE NAPKIN RING CA. 1870 - 1890 Gorgeous Butterfly and Oriental Fan Motif Authentic Victorian silver plate figural silver plate napkin ring. The napkin ring was made back in the late 1800's by the Rogers Silver Co. out of Meriden Connecticut. Just a precious display of two butterflies supporting the ring atop an oriental fan base. Oriental designs were such a vogue interest in the victorian period. It does have a monogram on the ring and I believe the initials are "N & B"...anyone you know with these initials? This napkin ring would certainly grace any formal table setting or collection....simply lovely! This napkin ring came out of my Aunt's estate on Nantucket. My Aunt was a nurse in WW1 stationed in France and then spent years as an artist and antiquarian traveling the world. She loved antiques and taking care of them. Please view my other items as we are selling her home belongings over the coming year and she has some exquisite pieces. I hope this goes to a nice home that loves antiques as much as she did.
