VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER VESTA / MATCH BOX PLAIN HAMMERED DESIGN - BIRMINGHAM 1894 Very attractive solid Sterling Silver vesta case engraved with the letters RBC on a plain diagonal band. The main case has a simple hammered design which adds to the overall look and appeal of the case. The Cap fits firmly without distortion and has a strong spring in good order. The case is in good condition with a few very fine scratches to the band and it is also in need more polish to get rid of the slight tarnish that has built up in the hammer marks over the years, but overall this is a nice attractive victorian piece. The case is fully and clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 and with the maker's mark of John Millward Banks. Approximate dimensions: 5cm x 4cm x 1cm Approximate weight: 29.7 grams.
