It would be difficult to find a brighter, more cheerful porcelain pattern than this one! Villeroy & Boch's late 1960s ‘Acapulco’ is based on traditional Mexican design incorporating the psychedelic influences of its own period. This pattern is an absolute deluge of color, modeled after the Mexican Tree of Life. Both modern and fun with a delightful melange of colorful birds and flowers on a clean white background, 1960s ethnic influences are evident. Manufactured for 8 years from 1969 in the Milano shape with blue back-stamps, this set displays the brown back-stamp of the 1980s re-release which fits right in with my stepdad’s timeline as he specifically got the pattern for his newly acquired beach house in Mexico. He can only recall using the set a couple of times way back when so they sat, untouched at least in this millennium, until I found the set forgotten and forlorn in the back of his uppermost cupboards - it’s way past time for it to go to a happier place where it will be appreciated! Made in Luxembourg Brown 1980s back-stamp Milano shape Excellent preowned condition This listing is for ONE (1) 6½” Bread & Butter Plate with center design as pictured - a total of SIX (6) plates are available. 40 additional Acapulco pattern pieces are listed and still available.
