Up for auction is a Vintage 1906 A.Schrader Air Gauge produced for Michelin Tires. In 1891 August Schrader invented the Schrader valve for bicycle tires and in 1896 invented the tire valve cap, and soon after tire valves were introduced for the automobile. In 1895 Andre Michelin was the first person to use pneumatic tires on an automobile. This is an early model of the Schrader air gauge and is in good condition considering its age.
