Take a good look! This is really an incredibly great looking vintage pennant. I have dealt in nonsports pennants for awhile and have sold hundre ds (1,000+) on ebay alone. This is one of the neatest looking ones that I have run ac ross. I believe this is from the 1910s, possibly the 20's, but I don't think any later than that. I have dated pennants from the mid 1910s of this exact same shape , leng th, and tassel type (thread/shoestring type) so it is my best estimate this is the most likely date. Th is definitely NOT any type of rep roduction. I bought this from a l ady who had purchased ou t an old store stock location in New Jersey and th is was in this purchase. Th is was in a "bundle" of pennants that were stacked neatly, unused, and appeared to be wrapped in the ori ginal wrapping. I purchased over 20 of these. Other than from her, I have never seen this pennant before. I would guess other than the 35 or so that she bought there is not likely more than a handful of these out there anywhere. It is a great rare firefighting collectible item. It features 5 firemen - one being the driver with a blue cap (Captain?) 3 with helmets, and the one on the back riding on top of the ladder is also wearing a blue cap. There are 3 white horses pulling the ladder "truck" (wagon). You can see the fireman's axe hanging on the side of the truck read more
