VINTAGE 1940s 18K GOLD CHRYSOPRASE LEVERBACK EARRINGS Description for auction is a pair of vintage Retro 1940s solid 18K yellow gold earrings with large green chrysoprase cabochons, probably made in Italy, as they bear the European 750 mark for 18K gold. These earrings are gorgeous on the ears--they look almost like fine Imperial Jade, but I have tested them on my Presidium gem tester, and the stones are genuine chrysoprase, which was commonly used in jewelry of this time period. The chrysoprase are set in heavy gold bezels, and they measure 16 x 11 mm each. The earrings are long sturdy wire leverbacks, which allow the chrysoprase to hang perfectly at the front and just under the bottom of your ear lobe. The stones are in EXCELLENT condition as are the earrings in general--with no chips, cracks, abrasion or flaws. These are beautiful high end vintage earrings. They measure 7/8" by 1/2". They are marked 750 for 18K gold, and they weigh 6.4 grams and are in mint, pristine condition. --TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THE FEEDBACK COMMENTS FROM OVER 4000 HAPPY CUSTOMERS.
