19 40sHorsman Enchanting Eyes Composition and Cloth Baby Doll Up forauction is an absolutely beautiful composition baby doll. It was described to me as an “enchanting eyes” doll from the 1940’s and I have seen some like these in a Collector’s Guide, however they had brown eyes. It is approximately 16" tall. On the back of neck it is marked A. Horsman Doll. It has beautiful blue tin eyes which open and shut nicely, eyelashes are in good shape, smoky eye shadow is still present as well as sweet rosy lips and cheeks. Head, arms, and legs are composition with a cloth body. I received this doll in the blue dress, panties and bonnet, which are not vintage. I have redresse d it in a beautiful vintage cotton embroidered gown and cute vintage socks with pink stripes. The pantaloons and cap are not vintage, but all the clothing is included. This is a beautiful vintage baby doll (I keep calling it “it” because it looks like a boy to me, but I didn’t have any baby boy clothes for redressing) Please view the photos and contact me prior to bidding if you have any questions.
