Here's a vintage 1940s Slingerland Radio King 9x13" tom drum in e xcellent condition. 3-ply shell with mahogany interior and maple re-rings. Beautiful White Marine Pearl finish. Shiny nickel hardware, including engraved Radio King stickchopper hoops. Calf heads top and bottom. 100% original! Condition: Excellent condition. WMP wrap has some yellowing but no fading. Seam is nice and tight. No loose spots or cracks. As shown in the closeups, this drum has minor scratches and hardware pitting consistent with its age. Shell is completely in round. In the first few pics below, for contrast I've placed a chrome RK snare beneath this tom, and a nickel RK snare above (neither snare is included in this auction). As you can see, the amber tint of the plating confirms that this tom is absolutely nickel-plated. All in all, a beautiful, all-original and excellent-sounding Radio King drum!
