Up for auction are two vintage Madame Alexander Alexander-kins doll - both are the character MARME from Louisa May Alcott's Little Women. The Marme in the brown print dress and black apron is from the late 1950s. The Marme in the burgundy cotton dress and cream apron is from the early 1960s. Both are in fair to good vintage condition. Both have their complete outfits. THe 1960s Marme has a lace trimmed cap with elastic that is stretched out and her apron is yellowed with age. Both have lace trimmed petticoats and lace trimmed pantaloons (elastic is stretched out). Both have button closure black shoes and white socks. Beautiful hair. From a nonsmoking home, both have been in storage since I was a little girl! High bidder pays priority postage based on zip code.
