This Heavy 7.7 Gram (0.27 Ounce) Over 1/4 Ounce Vintage Original 1950's 10k Solid White Gold Ring is set with a Beautiful LARGE 6+ct 12x10mm Ruby with amazing BRIGHT RED COLOR and NEAR PERFECT CLARITY . This ruby has AMAZING LUSTER! This ruby is an oval smooth top Cabochon Cut and really catches the light. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted . The gemstone tests as a ruby on a Presidium Gem Tester and a reflectometer but still could be a very high quality lab grown ruby. This gemstone has not been removed from the setting for testing so we cannot say definitively it is a natural ruby as it is most likely a very high quality lab grown ruby. A Lab Grown Ruby has the exact same physical, optical, and chemical properties of a Natural Ruby meaning it is as hard and scratch resistant.
