This item is a grey republican campaign elephant made by the Morton Pottery Company of Morton, Illinois for Senator Frank Carlson of Kansas. The ceramic figurine measures about 2 1/2" long by 2" high by 1 1/4" deep. It has G.O.P. on one side and Carlson on the other (please see photos). It is in excellent condition with no nicks, cracks, etc. Senator Carlson was elected to the US Senate in l950 and served until 1969. This little elephant was a giveaway for one of these campaigns. Very nice vintage political souvenir. I can ship 1st class anyw in the USA for only $1.50. |
