Vintage 1963 cel showing Mad Madam Mim in the Disney classic "The Sword in the Stone". At this point in the story, Arthur,who has been transformed into a bird by Merlin the Wizard, falls into the evil Mim's clutches when he flies down her chimney to escape the hawk that was chasing him. He tells her he is not a bird, but a boy who has been turned into a bird by Merlin, who he says is the most powerful sorcerer. Mim believes that she is the most powerful, and to prove it, demonstrates her powers to Arthur by changing her size, and then changing from evil old Mim to a nice, younger version, who you see in this cel.
