Vintage 60s 70s SIGNED Original Oil Painting Landscape For sale is a fine vintage signed original oil painting on canvas of a landscape in a very modernist style. This painting is quite large, measuring 37.25" by 37.25" and 1.5" thick, including the minimalist frame. Super custom frame job to coordinate with the painting with chartreuse inside, gold on the upper edges, and a mustardy yellow on the outside of the wood frame. No signature on front, but still has gallery tag on back from Bullocks Lakewood which gives the artist last name only, "Thomas". For anyone out of the area not familiar with the Bullocks department store chain, they were very high end stores, and in the 60s and 70s they sold original art work directly to the public by local artists from their area. This painter would have most likely been from the southern California area, and t are a few possibilities that I have found in my sources, but as the gallery card only gives the last name, it's pretty much impossible to say for sure. Excellent vintage condition. Due to this painting's size it cannot be shipped via the USPS inexpensively. Greyhound is the least expensive shipper in the US, but you'll need to ask for an exact quote as the shipping will vary by your area (please provide zip code and city name), and this information is not available from the ebay shipping calculator. I've put a maximum shipping cost for the lower 48 states on the shipping quote, and most areas will be less. Alaska and Hawaii will be much more! International should also get a quote first as it is likely to be very expensive to ship this item.
