Vintage Alabaster David & Goliath Statue-A. Santini This is not the common statue of David you are used to seeing, This is a much rarer beautiful vintage alabaster statue of David slaying Goliath. OK, Goliath isn't actually in the sculpture, but what the statue captures is the moment just before David lets his loaded sling fly, so the statue is just full of Goliath's off screen presence. The look on David's face is really something! Very big statue, measures about 16" tall and about 5" wide at the base. In great condition, nothing chipped, cracked or repaired, just a little dirt. High quality cold cast alabaster statue, widely considered to be the best available anyw says: "In fact, nothing comes closer to an original hand carved marble sculpture than the Santini replicas from Italy".
