Up for auction is a wonderful, vintage, spun aluminum grease canister that is shaped like a small coffee pot, and comes complete with lid and strainer. The condition is excellent, considering that this dates from the 1950s. It is clean and bright, with no dents, and both the vintage black plastic handle and knob are shiney, with no scratches, chips, burns, or dishwasher dulling. This great grease jar stands 7 1/2 inches tall, is 8 1/2 inches wide including the spout and handle, and the can is 5 inches in diameter. It double strains the grease, both with the removeable strainer on top, and a built in strainer inside the spout. The canister is marked on the bottom: Pure Aluminum, Made in U.S.A. The word grease, is on the front in raised relief, art deco, lettering. What a unique, usable, addition to a vintage kitchen collection this would make. It is just the right size to be practical, and it's unusual shape makes it display nicely. If you have any questions, please ask. Be sure to check out my othe auctions! I have other interesting and unique, vintage collectables listed this week, including a cookie canister, and canister set, that goes with this grease canister.
