For auction is a great print by noted artist J.F. Herring. Herring was a noted artist from the late 1800's anddid many different types of artwork. He is probably most noted forhis prints of Arabian horses such as the one pictured Herring's most noted work was the classic Pharaoh's Horses which was very similar to the print This particular print depicts two arabian horses in a stable setting with two birds present. The print appears to have been attached to an old black backing. It is not matted as may appear in the picture. The condition and color of the print are excellent as well as the background. I see no visible signs of staining or damage. The image portion of the print is about 8 inches in diameter with the overall size including the frame at 10 x 10. The piece is framed in a period frame that is an antique gold tone. The frame is also in excellent condition. The old backing and hardware are still present. This would be an excellent piece for any collector of horses prints. The piece is guaranteed old and in the condition as described. Winning bidder on the auction agrees to pay shipping costs.
