This is an auction for a neat and hard to find VINTAGE AVIATOR BIPLANE 49 pound Hard Wheat Flour John Blaul's Sons Co. Cedar Rapids and Burlington, Iowa FLOUR SACK. This sack was made in Bemis, NE. I have no idea how old this flour sack is, I am guessing the 1920-1950s, but I am not sure. If anyone can provide me with more information, please email me. According to the following web site: /collectible_feedsack_cloth_and_q.htm " In 1943, the War Production Board, under the direction of President Roosevelt, ordered that only six standardized feedsack sizes be produced: 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 lb. bags. As a result, pre-1943 bags in odd sizes, such as those that held six pounds or any other size other than those listed above, are rare and in demand by collectors. " I do not see any Flour Sack like this on eBay, so don't miss your chance to own this neat vintage flour sack. It would make a great gift for anyone who collects vintage flour sacks or Iowa items. It would be a great addition to your own collection too! It would display nicely on a wall. The Aviator flour sack is in very good condition with some overall wear. T is a small hole worn under the " A " in Aviator, which is about 1/4 in. T is some minor stain spots and also a larger 1/2 in. stain spot to the right of the " R " in " Aviator.
