Fabulous Vintage Barkcloth fabric -1 drapery panel-ROSES! – Lot 2 This auction features 1 vintage barkcloth curtain panel. The dimensions of the panel is 41.5” wide and 85.5” long. It has a 2” hem on the top and bottom and a 1.55” hem on each side. I have two other auctions with matching panels for a total of 3 panels in almost identical sizes. This is absolutely gorgeous vintage barkcloth. I am not an expert but I would guess it is from the 30’s or 40’s. It is quite heavy and the colors in it are very rich. The colors are actually deeper and richer than the photos show. None of the panels appear to be faded. The background color is ivory/light tan. The pattern is gorgeous cabbage roses in shades of burgundy and rose with green leaves and a hint of blue. Mixed in with the roses are tulips and some blue flowers to make a striking bouquet. The panel is in very good condition . There are no obvious signs of fading or wear. There is minimal yellowing on the back and the fabric appears strong. They smell old and dusty from being in storage but they don’t have a musty odor. I am sure that they could use a good cleaning – although they don’t look dirty. These are sooo Shabby Chic! Would make great curtains again or fantastic pillows or other decorator items. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs only including delivery confirmation. We read more
