VINTAGE BLUE & RED FLORAL FEEDSACK FEED SACK FABRIC Description I will be listing lots of vintage feedsacks so make sure to check them out and remember I am always happy to combine shipping. Great 1940's vintage floral feedsack fabric. Lots of blue red and green and a touch of yellow. Some stains from being stored away for years, but no holes or tears. Measures approx 36 X 45. For those of you who don't know alot about old feed sack fabric it is actually fabric from sacks of sugar, flower and animal feeds. T were being recycled and re-purposed by many generations of ladies long before recycling was the "in" things to do. These talented and creative women of yesteryear made these old cloth cotton bags into quilts, dresses, aprons, curtains, towels and lots more. My father always told me he remembered his mother making feedsack underwear. These type of old fabric sacks are a great part of our rural roots and history. They are great for repairing old quilts, handmade crafts and just to collect.
