This is a vintage brass (EMPTY) brass fire extinguisher made by "The Fire Guard Corp" of Northbrook, IL. That's how the brass label reads on the extinguisher. The label has patent dates and the newest one is from the 1940's. As all extinguishers do, this one also gives directions on how to use. What make this real unique, the brass label also gives direction on w "Northbrook, IL" is, "20 miles Northwest of Chicago". I suppose in the 1940's Northbrook, IL was a very small town and one would need directions. This extinguisher is DING & DENT free and has been polished and lacquered and as you can see in the pictures, it displays very well. I comes with a wall mount unit for easy display. This would look great hanging on the family room wall or make it a gift for your favorite firefighter. It stands about 14" tall and is about 3" in diameter.
