Vintage Breyer Clydesdale Stallion #80The Clydesdale Stallion was introduced in 1958. Early (1958-1961) versions of this mold featured almost no muscle definition. In 1962 the mold was retooled to add muscle tone to the neck, shoulders, hindquarters and legs. The mold has mane bobs and a tail ribbon, and it also has a small forelock ribbon which is almost always painted the same color as the forelock. Early models have no mold marks, with slightly later models having the round "Breyer Molding Co." stamp. Later models have the "U.S.A." stamp and some the "B" stamp as well. The Clydesdale Stallion was sculpted by Chris Hess and is Breyer mold #80.This bay has a bald face, black mane/tail, four stockings, no black on legs, red and white bobs and a red tail ribbon.1972-1986Top red bob is missing, has stamp, nice shading but rubs and various white spots.
