Hi here is a pretty good example of a 60,s Carlton Snare Drum , quite a rare model these days!.Overall its in good condition for its age with a nice blue marine wrap in good condition and reasonably vibrant.The chrome work and screws are all original and the damper is all there although the pad has hardened somewhat due to age.The snare wires are not in the best of condition and some are missing.The wires could be refitted and the snare will play as is.There is a slight problem with the snare wire mechanism at the screw thread end (see photo) the end of the threaded section is a little bent and although the outside sleeve still tightens up and screws in ok it is reluctant to screw off due to the slight bend-I am sure someone with a little dexterity could straighten it out and release the sleeve/collar but I am about as delicate as a Chimpanzee with a lump hammer so I will leave it to the new owner.This is an opportunity to own a nice vintage English snare drum that would compliment any vintage kit.Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions.
