This piece is on consignment for auction from one of the convnets we work with. Its auction will help their community continue their work with the poor in South America. Its a wonderful plaque from the 40’sera, and the quote is so today, as when Teresa of Avila said it hundreds ofyears ago in this prayer below; Let nothing trouble you, let nothing frighten you. All things are passing; Jesus never fails. Patience obtains all things. He who possesses God lacks nothing: God alone suffices. Description: Label still intact on the back (see Photo). Bit-O-Sunshine Plaque No. 485 Made in U.S.A. Condition: EXCELLENT vintage condition Measures: 11-3/4” long x 3-3/4” tall x 3/8” thick. Warner Press initially popularized the plaque, in the 1940’s and during the war years; distributing it throughout the southern United States ; through the Salvation Army and the YMCA.
