Vintage Cat Applique Pink Crib Quilt Novelty Feedsack Album Album Album Album Album Album Album Album This is a super sweet vintage 1930s era hand appliqued cat quilt. The cats were very neatly appliqued onto off white muslin with a very neat black blanket stitch. The faces were hand embroidered also. The vintage cotton prints used are wonderful with great colors. T are 20 cat blocks (4 across and 5 down), with 19 different prints that were used. Two blocks are the same, the sweet pink Scottie dog novelty print. All the rest of the blocks are different prints. See photos for all the prints that were used. This quilt measures 65" x 80". Twin or youth size. The sashing and border is a light pink cotton with light blue connecting squares. T is hand quilting in the sashing, outlining the cat, outlining the blocks, and also within the cats themselves. Medium thickness batting, but not heavy or bulky. No bunched or shifted batting. Backing is off white muslin. All nice weave cottons throughout. Pink border turns to the back as the binding. I found two blocks that have a couple of very pale small storage spots on the muslin cotton, nothing dark or distracting at all, and hardly worth mentioning. No other stains, no "all over" speckles or toning at all. No fading anyw, freshly laundered, bright and fresh. Appears this was never used really. Not a smidgen of wear, no holes, no wear to the edge, nothing undone, no fabric breakdown at all. You'll LOVE this one. No disappointments. Check my other listings for more vintage quilt items.
