You are bidding on a late 1950's vintage child's musical rocking chair. The chair was made from a real barrel or old nail keg. It even has the brass straps and copper nails that hold it together. It is made It measures 13 1/2" tall, 12" diameter across the seat, and the rocking chair runners are 15" long. Probably toddler size! The round original padded seat is removable. Best of all it comes complete with a working music box attached. Everything is original. The music box has a plunger on the bottom so that every time the child rocks the music plays automatically and when he or she stops rocking so does the music. It's completely mechanical and doesn't need to be wound. This are very hard to find and even harder to find one in working condition. The only markings is on the metal music box case that says "Made in Germany", US Pat. 2847891. The rocker has been in our family since it was new. It has been gently used, but for an over 50 year old kid's toy, it's in marvelous condition with even the original untorn or worn seat cover. Buyer pays shipping costs. _______________________
