Vintage Child's cold rayon dress, child's retro floral dress, ca 1940, frockHandmade, no doubt by some loving mother, this little frock is so charming. The fabric is cold rayon, a fabric which is rather hard to find, either in dress goods or actual vintage clothing. It is cool to the touch (hence the name) very smooth, silky, and has wonderful movement and drape. This little dress has many gores and is flared, and it would have twirled and moved in such a cute way as the little girl walked.High waisted, with the front bodice gathered where it joins the skirt, with three frosted plastic buttons as decoration. The seams on the gored skirt are edge stitched all the way from the waist to the hem. Back closure is a placket with snaps.Fresh from an small town estate in Missouri.
