VINTAGE CHINESE SOAPSTONE SEAL WITH RECUMBENT TIGER You are bidding on a Soapstone Seal that was hand carved in China probably just after the conclusion of World War II. It stands 2 3⁄4 inches high and measures 2 inches in length and 1 1/8 inches in width. The top of the Seal is adorned with the carved figure of a Recumbent Tiger, and the sides of the base have an incised landscape scene and a Chinese Character inside a Double Circle on the front. The bottom, which is the functional end of the Seal that comes into contact with the inkpad and applies the impression, has the English language name "SYD" along with its respective Chinese Characters. Overall, the Seal is in excellent condition and it comes complete with a custom made, padded, silk covered, presentation box. We hope you like it. Good luck bidding.
